The couple attended the U.K. team trials for the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 at the University of Bath Sports Training Village.
For the sporty event, the pair went casual, with Meghan wearing an army green Jacket Babton for Artizia and jeans by Mother Denim. The 36-year-old bride to be let her hair down in the breeze and paired the look with heels, while Harry rocked a zip-up workout jacket and jeans.
The pair immediately headed to the field where they greeted several competitors and watched the shot put trials. They then went inside to see the sitting volleyball trials.
Harry, 33, has been a longtime supporter and patron of the annual games, which highlights the work of wounded veterans across the globe.
Last September, the couple attended the Invictus Games together in Toronto, Canada, marking their first joint public appearance. Just a few weeks later, Harry proposed and the couple officially announced their engagement in November.
Harry, who served two tours in Afghanistan, has long felt a close connection to veterans and servicemen and women.
“I have seen those I have served with suffer, struggling to seek out the help they desperately need. And we know there are more just like them who continue to suffer in silence. And when the individual doesn't or can't reach out for help, it is also their families who suffer; especially their spouses and children, who are left feeling desperate and confused as they try to seek appropriate help for the ones they love,” he explained. “Some of the stories Meghan and I heard when we visited Colchester Garrison a few weeks ago shocked us to our core.”
Harry feels such a kinship with veterans that he plans to make them a core part of his and Meghan's wedding. Kensington Palace announced late last month that 250 members of the British Armed Forces will take part in the ceremony.
